This information library is designed for individuals employing Personal Assistants (PAs) or care workers, whether through Direct Payments or privately. Developed by PA users in 2025/6 under the guidance of Louise Watch, it aims to provide resources for those seeking assistance in daily living from various types of support/care workers.

Some people call the person who helps them in their daily lives a Personal Assistant, care worker, care assistant, home help or support worker. There are differences between these, but we will refer to them as Personal Assistants (PAs).
